We arrived yesterday and were so ridiculously tired we went to bed at 8. So therefore day one was a bust and I won't even bother making an update about it haha.
So day 2 it is!
After visiting San Diego Zoo (Anchorman puns galore) we shuttled over to the convention center to check in. Got a glimpse into the floor where we could see the Autodesk (Maya) booth, and the Pixar booth behind it. Needless to say a bunch of us were acting like Hanson fangirls for a while until we realized we had to schedule out our week here from their 200 page conference guide. Below I have listed some of the courses/panels we'll be attending. I'll update every night about what we see.
Sunday: Inside Ratatouille, Shrekology
Monday: Surf's Up Making of, Resume's and Demo Reels
Tuesday: Transformers Giant Frickin Robots, Animation Mentor
Wednesday: Spider-man 3 Sandman effects, Training for animators
Thursday: Ratatouille tech, Water simulation for Spider-man 3, Surf's Up, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and 300.
Plus exhibition floor, receptions, and parties! Should be a fun week!
